Studio Location

35 Durham Road, E12 5AY

Newborn sessions take place in my home studio in Manor Park. It’s situated at the end of my garden and holds everything needed for your little ones photoshoot!

My road is permit holders, so upon arrival I will provide you with a visitors permit for the day.

Birth Day

Once little one has been born, please contact me to schedule a date and time for your babies newborn session. It is important that you get in touch with me asap, so that we can get you scheduled into within the ideal time frame of 5-18 days.

What To Pack

Nappies, Milk, Dummy, Baby!

Please make sure to bring more than one bottle.

Sessions can last up to 4 hours, so babies often end up having 2 feeds throughout the session.

Sleepy, Hungry

On the morning of your photoshoot please aim to to feed baby on arrival to the studio.

Babies do very well in the studio when they are in a deep sleep. To encourage this I recommend trying to keep them awake for at least two hours before your scheduled arrival if possible.

We ideally need your bundle of joy to be tired and a bit hungry on arrival.

Toasty

As newborns are usually photographed unclothed, the studio temperature will be set very warm throughout the session. This is to ensure that babies are kept warm and comfortable. Parent’s I advise you wear comfortable loose clothing.

Patience

Sessions can last up to 4 hours, depending on how sleepy your little one is, and how often we have to stop for feeds, changes and cuddles. I recommend eating a hearty breakfast before you arrive, as we will most likely run through lunch time.

Family Photos

The last thing you may feel like doing just days after giving birth, is having your photo taken. However, I really do encourage all parents consider having their images taken with baby during their session, as they are such beautiful memories to cherish.

Mum & Dad

Dad -If you prefer not to be shirtless I ask that you bring a tight fitted plain t-shirt in a neutral light colour (white/cream) to wear with a good, snug pair of jeans.

Mum - Keep the colour light neutral (white/cream) and simple design As your hands will make their way into the images, I recommend having neutral or no nail polish.

Siblings

If siblings are under the age of 3, it’s helpful to have someone with you that can take them out after their photos are finished if they get a little bored or impatient.

Gallery Viewing

You gallery will be completed in within around 1-2 weeks of your session. You will be welcomed back to the studio for a gallery viewing, where you will be able to purchase your favourite images. This is when you can choose which package you would like to purchase, as well as any additional wall art. So please have a think about sizes etc before your viewing appointment.

Sharing Photos

If you have Facebook and/ or Instagram, be sure to like/ follow @daisylilyphoto. Feel free to tag yourself or share any teaser photos that I post. This is a great way for me to reach new potential clients, and is always greatly appreciated. As well as mentioning / tagging me in any images you chose to share :)

Free Little Sitter Session

(Available for top package newborn clients)

All newborn clients who purchase the top package are welcomed back to the studio for a complimentary little sitter session once little one has started to sit unaided. The session fee will be waived and you will receive one free digital downloadable image of your choice from your session. You will be given the option to purchase addtional images should you wish, however this is not obligatory.

It you would like to book in your free sitter session, we can discuss further on the day of your newborn gallery viewing.

Printing

When recieving your digital files you will have reproduction rights, which means you can print them anywhere you would like. However, you should know that not all labs are created equal, so please choose your lab carefully. I only use a top professional lab that are only available to professional photographers. I recommend printing through my store at your gallery viewing for the best results. I do not take any responsibility for any prints you chose to print yourself.
